One month from now

C-section is scheduled and exactly one month from now I will have met my son on the outside. Baby prep is moving along but I still have quite a bit left to do. Car seat and co-sleeper have been purchased and are just waiting to be put together or installed. My baby shower was last weekend and it was a very nice afternoon. I got lots and lots of clothes and most likely won't have to purchase any for quite some time! My only regret is that it all went by so fast and I didn't get any photos with my mom or other special folks.

I've been a mostly absent blogger during this journey and I wish that I had updated more often. I'm going to try and do a better job in the next few weeks - especially now that I've been feeling mostly ok.

Glad you are feeling "mostly ok"...still nauseous??? Ugh.

Don't worry about not getting pictures you wanted...there will be PLENTY of opportunities for pictures in the near future!

I'm so excited for you, and can't wait to hear all about the little man.

Bah!

I haven't updated in... 3 months or so? Actually I'm thinking of going ahead and deleting my blog as soon as I write down some of the boys milestones that I have recorded on there.

Only ONE month! That is so awesome.

If you interested I'm trying to start up an SMC forum, come check it out. It's in the early stages but I'm hoping to generate some interest.

I just stopped by and ended up reading from the beginning. I remember going through a lot of the same things (including fibroid surgery and a planned c-section), and it brought it all back. What an amazing journey. It will absolutely be worth it. Don't let anyone fool you though. The first 3 months are hell. But after you get over that hump of hormone-exaggarated sleep deprivation, it is the most amazing thing in the world. Every day is a gift. Good luck with the c-section, and be sure you have good support for those first 2-3 weeks. 3 weeks is when the sleep deprivation catches up with you and you feel like you've gone over a cliff. Sounds like mom and your sisters and your cousin will all be great support. I really enjoying reading your story.
